Focus of services
In essence, my focus is on making a meaningful and positive contribution to organizational and individual managers' fitness through all my activities -- consulting, mentoring, teaching and publishing.
To achieve this purpose my focus is on three benefit areas:
- Changing of managerial mindsets -- breaking free from traditional mindsets to envision a range of alternative and innovative options.
Why mindset change? Mindsets easily get rooted in traditional ways and comfort zones, and should be regularly renewed and changed to enable organizational innovation and survival. This involves the 'opening up' of individual minds to different ways of viewing and approaching their industries, markets, customers and products & services. In most instances this results in the changing of mindsets from a reactive and defensive stance, to a proactive, positive and co-creative view and activity orientation -- in both group and individual context. - Developing organizational fitness -- defining, developing and, measuring it.
Why organizational fitness? Many enterprises get unfit over time, a lack of exercise and thus inability to respond to new challenges or just stuck in their groove. Organizational fitness means the capability and readiness of an organization to recognize and seize opportunities (creative and proactive) and challenges (reactive and proven) as and when they emerge. Fitness consists of a range of dynamic qualities that provides resilience and responsiveness to an enterprise. The barriers to organisational fitness must be identified and measures to develop and sustain fitness must be implemented. Fitness levels must be measured regularly to ensure successful and sustained performance. - Enabling organizations and individuals to innovate their business models -- helping firms and individuals to define new models and methods of doing business.
Why new business models? Traditional business models become obsolete for a variety of reasons. These include innovative technologies, alternative products, new entrants, and innovative customer delivery methods that change the currently normal ways of doing business in an industry. My unique approach enables managers to easily and practically understand their industry and business model dynamics. It equips them to develop and implement new business models when their environment changes and they can see opportunities.
